CLUTTERED, MESSY ON MOBILE, HARD TO FIND.

Birgit Hofbauer runs a psychotherapy practice in Upper Austria, focused on personal development and supervision. Over the years her site had filled up with content and notices, all of them important but together hard to navigate. Reading on a phone was exhausting. The practice barely showed up in Google search. Booking an appointment took too many clicks.

• → Full redesign. Calm colours, clear typography, plenty of white space. A site that matches the profession and reads as serious at first glance.
• → One page, all topics sorted. About, areas of focus, background, offering, contact. Whoever scrolls finds everything. Whoever is in a hurry jumps straight to contact.
• → Mobile thought through first. On a phone the site reads just as comfortably as on a laptop. In a profession where more than half of inquiries come from phones, that's not optional.
• → Contact with privacy in mind. Inquiries go directly to the practice, without third-party trackers. Emergency hotlines (crisis helplines for adults, women, men) are linked in the footer.
• → Self-maintainable. Birgit can update texts, focus areas and dates herself. No dependency on me after launch.

In the first months after launch, monthly visitor numbers tripled. Of those, 40 percent more come directly from Google, simply because Google now understands the site better. And of the people who do come, around four percent now send an inquiry instead of two before. Sounds small. For a practice with limited appointment slots, it's a visible difference.
