Voluntary digital accessibility statement for medienmacher.biz. It documents the current technical state and the standards used as a reference; it does not claim that this website is subject to a statutory declaration requirement under the Austrian Accessibility Act (BaFG).

Scope and objective

This statement applies to medienmacher.biz. I, Tom der Medienmacher – Webdesign, aim to make my digital services accessible and to provide an inclusive user experience.

Standards used

Testing is based on EN 301 549 V3.2.1 and WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Austrian microenterprises that provide services are exempt from the BaFG accessibility requirements and related obligations under Section 6 BaFG. Irrespective of the precise statutory classification, reducing barriers remains part of my own quality standard.

Conformance status

Based on my own assessment, the website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Core information, service, contact and legal pages are reviewed through automated checks and manual sampling. The limitations below currently prevent a declaration of full conformance.

Known limitations

• Graphically complex browser games use Canvas or WebGL. Menus and essential controls support keyboard operation where feasible, but the actual gameplay is not fully usable with screen readers.
• Some older certificate PDFs were issued by external providers. Full PDF/UA conformance and a complete tag structure cannot be guaranteed for every document.
• At very high text zoom levels or with individual browser style sheets, complex game and preview interfaces may introduce additional horizontal scrolling.

Visual effects

The following decorative effects receive particular attention during reviews:

• Three.js and Canvas background animations on selected landing-page and game heroes are decorative, hidden from screen readers and excluded from keyboard focus. Motion is reduced when prefers-reduced-motion is enabled. Essential information is also available as text.
• Magnetic call-to-action buttons use a visual-only effect that is disabled when reduced motion is requested. Pointer and keyboard behaviour and focus order remain unchanged.
• Split-reveal headline animations are visual only and are disabled on mobile devices and when reduced motion is requested. The complete heading remains available as semantic text.
• News tag cloud effects are visual only. Filtering remains available by pointer and keyboard.

These effects do not carry information on their own. Content and core controls remain available when JavaScript is unavailable or reduced motion is enabled.

Preparation of this statement

Assessment method: self-assessment by the operator, who holds Microsoft certifications relating to UX and accessibility, supplemented by automated axe-core and Lighthouse tests and manual samples using VoiceOver on macOS and iOS and keyboard-only navigation.
